Description

Nutrition Management of Hepatic Glycogen Storage Diseases: Insights from the Glyde International Multicenter Study
David A. Weinstein, MD, MMS
Weinstein Rare Disease and Clinical Development Consulting

This program will provide an overview of the rationale behind the Glyde study as a global initiative to evaluate the efficacy and tolerance of Glycosade®, an extended-release cornstarch, in the nutrition management of hepatic glycogen storage diseases (GSD). We will explore the challenges and gaps in existing knowledge in specific subgroups, including young children, individuals with ketotic forms of GSD, and those receiving daytime extended-release cornstarch. Study outcomes will be presented, including long-term metabolic control, dietary quality, and quality of life in a diverse international population of hepatic GSD patients.

*You must register for this session in advance as part of your conference registration. Registration is limited.
