Stephanie Hacker is the Metabolic Dietitian and Newborn Screen Program Manager for the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Department of Human Genetics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. Stephanie has treated hundreds of patients with inborn errors of metabolism - working closely with them from birth into adulthood to ensure they are receiving optimal nutrition and health. She is a proponent for nutrition and rare disease education. She leads lessons for medical and graduate students and participates in community and patient events. Stephanie also serves on various advisory councils supporting metabolic disorders. In addition to working in genetics, Stephanie is passionate about sports, fitness and wellness. She is a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and has worked as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 15 years. She blends her enthusiasm for fitness and genetics by encouraging her patients to lead a healthy lifestyle. Stephanie graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition, a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology.
