Rebecca “Becca” Koch is a clinical and translational researcher in the Division of Medical Genetics at Duke University Medical Center. Becca received a BS in Dietetics from the University of Florida and a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Georgia. Her graduate work was focused on the genetics of antioxidant metabolism. She is completing a postdoc with Dr. Priya Kishnani’s team at Duke and leads translational projects focused on the natural history, pathophysiology, and factors related to treatments of glycogen storage diseases. Becca’s long-term goal is to continue her research in glycogen storage diseases and return to the clinic part-time to improve health outcomes for individuals with genetic metabolic diseases.
