Jessica Kopesky is a Senior Clinical Dietitian in the Genetics Clinic at Children’s Wisconsin where she has enjoyed working clinically with patients with inborn errors of metabolism, collaborating with providers across the state as a member of the Newborn Screening Metabolic Subcommittee, and participating as a research dietitian in multiple industry sponsored clinical trials since 2008. She earned her master’s
degree through Colorado State University in 2017 where her final project focused on the potential benefits of glycomacropeptide (GMP) compared to traditional amino acid based formulas in the management of PKU. In addition to her clinical role, she has been an active member of Genetic Metabolic Dietitians International since 2011 when she first joined the Technology Committee. Since that time, she has also served as Co-Chair for the Technology Committee and Co-Chair for the Ad-Hoc Committee on Mentorship, contributed to the development of a career ladder for metabolic dietitians through her work on the Membership Committee, contributed to the development of Nutrition Guidelines for Urea Cycle Disorders, and currently serves on the Board of Directors as President of GMDI.
