Krista Viau, PhD, RD, is a Senior Nutrition Reviewer with FDA’s Infant Formula Premarket Review Staff and serves as Co-Chair of the Urea Cycle Disorder Nutrition Management Guidelines and Chair of GMDI’s ad hoc Nutrition Guidelines Workgroup. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nutritional Science from Utah State University and her doctorate in Public Health from the University of Utah. Dr. Viau brings extensive clinical and research experience in inborn errors of metabolism, having practiced as a metabolic dietitian and led or collaborated on numerous clinical studies involving metabolic disorders and emerging therapies.
