Dr. Abrar Turki graduated with a BSc in Clinical Nutrition from King Abdulaziz University, completed her internship in three governmental hospitals in Jeddah. After working at King Abdulaziz Hospital and Oncology Center for five months, she was selected among thousands of students across the country to receive a scholarship to continue her graduate studies in Canada. She developed a particular interest in inborn errors of metabolism (IEMs) due to its high incidence rate in her country, particularly nutritional management in patients with Phenylketonuria and Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1. She completed her MSc and PhD programs in Human Nutrition under the supervision of Dr. Elango at the University of British Columbia and BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. In 2022, she became a Senior Specialist-Clinical Nutrition from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialities. In January 2023, she joined the University of Hafr Al Batin as an Assistant Professor in Clinical Nutrition Department.
