The impact of puberty on the nutrition management of GSD Ia will be addressed and goals of nutrition will be discussed. Additionally, two case studies will be presented, highlighting two genotypic presentations, comparing and contrasting their management during puberty. Case reports will include blood glucose data using point of care and continuous glucose monitoring devices, starch doses, schedule, and diet. Strategies for counseling and behavior change in adolescents will also be addressed.

This workshop occurs on Thursday from 1:30 - 2:30pm and is repeated from 3:30 - 4:30pm.
